This is my take on a female Oni (Demon). In Japanese mythology when a women, mostly a new bride, becomes consumed with jealousy towards her husband and other women she turns into an Oni which is also a popular form for Hannya masks.

Anyways this is my jealous bride who Ive named Kurogokegumo (Black Widow Spider) I chose that name because she is like said spider, dark and deadly. Her husband left her shortly after their marriage and ran off with a pretty young brothel girl and left her alone to pay off his debts. Consumed in her heartbreak and rage she turned herself into an Oni and hunted down her husband and his new girlfriend and brutally killed them both. She skinned the brothel girl alive and hung her skin from a tree before she chopped her to bits. Then she moved onto her husband and slowly, taking over 2 days, she cut bits and piece of his body off one by one until he was just a bloody torso and then she impaled him infront of the brothel he was always at.

So yes, she is named Kurogokegumo after the Black Widow Spider because she lures men in with her beauty and charm before killing consuming them, her scorn for her husband causing her to hate all men.

"'Scuse me, Ma'am, but it appears that your eye is a little misplaced..."

Neat image, I love Japanese folklore, and I LOVE how the kimono almost looks old/dirty. Really adds to the over all look
